Water Tower, Marconi Area
The "Marconi Area" is the National Park Service's name for the location of the first trans-Atlantic telegraph transmitter, designed by and constructed under the supervision of Guglielmo Marconi, the so-called "father of radio."
This water tower is a modern structure standing a few hundred yards from the oceanside location of the Marconi telegraph station. The light was just right under the cloudy sky to emphasize its smooth shape.
